Lone Star Membership

Last week, Lone Star District officially surpassed the number of members over the end of the year in 2021!  Every new Scout recruited for this point on represents growth in the district!  More recruiting events are planned throughout the month of October.

Longhorn Council Merit Badge Councilor Recharter

This year, Merit badge Councilors and the District is being rechartered at the same time as units.  Make sure Youth Protection Training has been taken in 2022 (expiring in 2024) and any extra certifications needed are up to date and on file.  See the attached files for additional information.

Longhorn Council University of Scouting is November 19th

University of Scouting is a great event with classes for every type of Scouting - Cubs, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, Exploring - there are even classes for Youth 14+.  Additionally, this is the best networking opportunity in the Council where you will get to meet leaders from all over Longhorn Council, there for the same reason you are- to deliver the best program possible to the Scouts.  Again, this year it's being held at the TCC Trinity River Campus (former RadioShack HQ), right here in the Lone Star District.
